Rapid test for milk

Rapid test for milk

Rapid test for β-lactam and tetracycline residues in milk

This rapid test is designed for the qualitative detection of β-lactam and tetracycline antibiotic residues in raw milk. It is intended for use in the dairy sector, where fast and reliable screening is important before milk is collected, transported, accepted for processing or released for further production.

The test is suitable for raw cow, goat and sheep milk. It is based on a rapid immunochromatographic principle and enables the detection of antibiotic residues within just a few minutes. As a one-step rapid test, it is convenient for routine use in daily milk quality control.

Application in the dairy sector

The test can be used at different stages of the milk supply chain:

1) on dairy farms before milk collection;

2) at milk collection points;

3) during milk transport;

4) upon arrival of milk trucks at the processing plant;

5) in dairy processing companies;

6) in milk quality control and food safety laboratories.

It helps dairy professionals quickly assess whether milk may contain β-lactam or tetracycline residues and supports timely decisions before milk enters the production process.

Reliable result reading and traceability

For more objective and reliable result interpretation, the test can be used together with a reader. Instrumental result evaluation helps reduce subjective interpretation, supports consistent quality control and enables digital result management.

Depending on the system used, results can be shared in real time and stored for documentation purposes. This supports full traceability, which is especially important for dairy farms, milk processors, laboratories and organisations responsible for milk safety and quality assurance.

The test is intended for screening and quality control purposes. For sample preparation, exact testing procedure, result interpretation and storage conditions, always follow the official product instructions.

Heater with an integrated thermometer and a separate timer for each cassette, designed for heating rapid test cassettes.

Smart reader for reading one cassette

A reader specially designed for use with the cassette tests we offer, intended for detecting residues of antibiotic substances in milk. The device ensures high-quality, reliable evaluation of results and traceability, as the data are automatically stored in the reader.

Switch on the heating block and wait until it reaches a temperature of 50 °C. Remove the required number of cassettes from the refrigerator and allow them to stand at room temperature for approximately 10–15 minutes before use.

Mix the milk sample thoroughly. Using a clean pipette, take 150 µl of milk and dispense it into the cassette sample well. Place the cassette in the heater, close the lid and heat for 7 minutes at 50 °C.

After heating, remove the cassette and evaluate the result visually or place it in the reader for result evaluation. The test helps to detect residues of antibiotic substances from the β-lactam and tetracycline groups in milk.

Important: use only clean pipettes, avoid contamination, and do not use expired or damaged cassettes. The temperature of the milk sample to be tested must be 4–10 °C.
